Japanese Wana Velvet

O-Matsuba: pine needle design, Japanese Wana velvet, handmade in Kyoto, piece dyed, pure silk. Each piece is handwoven over nylon weft threads over which silk loops are formed, these loops are then hand cut to form the exquisite velvet accents. The nylon wefts are then withdrawn to leave the finished cloth. Traditionally very narrow and used for the finest men's Haori.
