Alegria means 'joy' in Spanish with Manos del Uruguay's aim being to create a yarn that is a fun celebration of colour. The yarn is hand painted and spun by artisans that are part of Manos del Uruguay's female cooperatives, meaning each batch of Alegria is unique. Its blend of 75% Superwash Merino and 25% polyamide results in a yarn that is both very soft and robust. This makes Alegria a good choice for socks as well as other projects which require a level of durability. Please note dye batches will vary.
Composition: 75% Superwash Merino, 25% polyamide
Yarn weight: 4 ply
Needle/hook size: 2.25mm - 3mm (see our range of bamboo circular and straight needles, and crochet hooks)
Weight and meterage: 100g = approx. 405m
Tension: 10cm = 28-30 stitches
Wash care: Machine wash or hand wash in cool water and dry flat. Please see label for full wash care instructions.
